1. John Collins
The Indiana Pacers are likely going to toe the line of rebuilding and trying to win basketball games. Ownership will not let them bottom out as the Oklahoma City Thunder has, so they could target players that will help in both.
Younger, established veterans that can be part of a rebuild but also help them win games right away is what the Pacers are likely in the market for. John Collins of the Atlanta Hawks is someone that would fit that perfectly.
Only 24-years old, he can be a long-term fit alongside Tyrese Haliburton. He was on track to be an All-Star, averaging 21.6 points and 10.1 rebounds during the 2019-20 season. John Collins is an efficient scorer with range out to the 3-point line and provides some rim protection defensively.
His role has diminished with the Hawks in recent seasons and a change of scenery could be best for him. Looking to shake things up themselves after a disappointing 2021-22 season, Atlanta could be open to moving Collins, who signed a five-year, $125 million extension last offseason.
