2. OG Anunoby

The Toronto Raptors are another team that is looking for help in the middle this offseason. The Indiana Pacers will likely receive some calls from them about Myles Turner and once engaged, should discuss the availability of OG Anunoby.

Most mock trades that involve the Raptors have them sending out a package with Anunoby as the centerpiece. It does make some sense from their perspective, as Toronto needs to balance out their roster and bring in some size.

The Indiana product is their best trade chip to do that with, unless they want to move on from Gary Trent Jr. Pascal Siakam likely isn’t going to be made available and since they are already lacking backcourt options, it is hard to imagine Fred VanVleet being on the move. That leaves OG Anunoby as the likeliest trade candidate.

He is the exact kind of player that the Pacers should be looking to take a chance on in a trade. Injuries have been a concern at times, but the upside is too much to pass up on. Some comparisons to Kawhi Leonard have been drawn, which aren’t too far off.

OG Anunoby’s career arc is similar to Leonard’s. Indiana selected Leonard before trading him to the San Antonio Spurs for George Hill, so this would give them a chance to sort of redo that trade. Turning only 25 this summer, Anunoby fits any timeline the Pacers will look to be on.
