Malik Beasley
Malik Beasley is what the Cleveland Cavaliers were hoping to get when they traded for Caris LeVert — a two-guard who can both play off of Darius Garland and provide some secondary playmaking when called upon. Beasley is an athletic, well-rounded offensive player who can supply points in bunches and supplemental creation for his teammates.
Physically, he should be a decent point-of-attack defender, but his effort has waned immensely since landing with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Cavs would have to hope that coming into a new situation and gaining a larger role will inspire him to exert more energy on the less glamorous end of the court.
The bonus for acquiring Malik Beasley is that Cleveland would highly benefit from adding his established skills, but he’s also young enough to continue growing alongside the Cavaliers’ young core. The Minnesota Timberwolves are a deep team, especially at the guard position, so finding an amicable deal shouldn’t be too difficult.
The T-Wolves could use the 14th pick to address one of their needs like a defensive-minded center, and matching Beasley’s $15.5 million cap figure should be a relatively simple task.

Pairing Malik Beasley’s perimeter scoring skills with Garland’s on-ball wizardry would give the Cavs an exciting young backcourt tandem again and give them the flexibility to either sign and trade Collin Sexton or let him walk.
