Making the Case: Minnesota Timberwolves
It was a productive season for the Minnesota Timberwolves. They were able to win 46 games and land in the playoffs. Now, the front office knows the core of the team and will continue to build a winner.
Anthony Edwards scored 21.3 points per game in his second year in the league. He is continuing to improve from three-point range but already has the athleticism and agility to dominate at the next level.
Minnesota continues to be balanced with a strong frontcourt, led by Towns, with Edwards in the backcourt. Now, the Timberwolves look to build the necessary depth needed over the course of 82 games.
If Russell is not a long-term piece, it makes sense for the franchise to move him for complementary pieces around Edwards and Towns. Adding shooting at the four spot with Marcus Morris Sr. and a backcourt sharpshooter like Luka Kennard would certainly help.

The Timberwolves have received a strong impact from Patrick Beverley and could look to add a different point guard after moving on from D’Angelo Russell to bolster their depth at the position.
