Making the Case: LA Clippers
The LA Clippers bought into the NBA’s trend of building elite duos in hopes of winning championships.
Unfortunately, progress was hindered this season by injuries, but the tides are expected to turn moving forward with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both making their return to the lineup next season.
Reggie Jackson made an impact last season and earned himself a contract. However, there is room to add a more potent scoring threat like D’Angelo Russell into the fold. Having that third option to pair with Leonard and George could take the Clippers to new heights.
Russell entered the league as a point guard, but he’s shown the ability to play off the ball, too. His versatility would help the Clippers to attack defenses in a variety of different ways come playoff time — reducing pressure on their superstars.
