If he’s the former, the Knicks could regret moving him. On the other hand, they can afford to part with him if he’s the latter. The Knicks have no trouble landing quality NBA players. This team needs stars.
Barrett could be a centerpiece in a deal that lands them one. The Knicks also have a deep reserve of draft capital. If, for example, Donovan Mitchell demands a trade, the Knicks may prefer to offer a package built around first-round picks over their recent number-three selection.

On the other hand, if the Jazz were to insist on his inclusion, don’t be shocked if the Knicks were willing to accommodate that demand.
