Of course, it’ll still depend on their valuation of the incoming players. Assessing Simmons’ worth has become wildly complicated. When he’s on the floor, he’s a 6’10 point guard with other-worldly floor vision. He also provides some of the very best defense in the National Basketball Association.

Unfortunately, that “when he’s on the floor” has become a huge caveat.

If the Wizards feel they can rehabilitate Simmons’ body and career, they’ll be tempted here. He makes for a great pairing with stretch big man Kristaps Porzingis.
