Washington Wizards Receive: G/F Andrew Wiggins, F Jonathan Kuminga, F James Wiseman
Golden State Warriors Receive: G Bradley Beal, G Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
There are multiple reasons to assume this deal will not come to light.
For one thing, the Warriors are currently up 3-0 on the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals. History suggests they’ll advance. It also suggests that teams don’t normally shake up their roster following an NBA Finals appearance.
Meanwhile, Bradley Beal appears poised to sign a contract extension with the only NBA team he’s ever known. Like Lillard in Portland, Beal appears more concerned with winning with the Wizards than just winning, period.
Again, these are only trades we would like to see. The Wizards ought to rebuild, whether they appear likely to or not. Plus, Beal on the Warriors could make for one of the most potent offenses in NBA history. Simply put, it would be a lot of fun to see.
