Evan Mobley
Fine, you got us. This was all just a covert means of saying that LeBron James making one more triumphant return to the Cleveland Cavaliers would be a lot of fun.
His potential fit alongside franchise player Evan Mobley is a huge bonus. Mobley just wrapped up his rookie season: he’ll need a few more years before he really hits his prime. Once he does, it’s going to be a major problem for the rest of the league.
His combination of length and lateral mobility may be completely unprecedented. It should allow him to function as an elite rim protector while doubling as a perimeter stopper. Imagine what James could do with that kind of defensive anchor?
Realistically, you don’t have to imagine very hard. It wasn’t so long ago that Anthony Davis fit most of the descriptors we just gave Mobley. When he looked healthy, he and James won an NBA championship together.
