It feels like the New York Knicks have been linked to Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, and any other star point guard you can think of as often as the teams that actually roster those players. Could they finally bite the bullet and go out and get one of them?

It could be a convenient time. As stated, Paul is old and expensive. His cost should be minimal in relation to what his winning impact would be. The Knicks could buy low if they’re focused on winning games in 2022-23.

They may not be. After a disappointing 2021-22 season, nobody could blame this team for triggering a rebuild. At the same time, they could get dangerous by adding Paul.

If Julius Randle approaches his 2020-21 form, and youngsters like RJ Barrett, Obi Toppin, and Cam Reddish take a step forward, landing Paul would get the Knicks might back in the playoff hunt.
