Indiana Pacers Receive: F Marcus Morris Sr., G Amir Coffey, G Jason Preston, 2028 First-Round Pick (LAC)
LA Clippers Receive: G Malcolm Brogdon
If the Indiana Pacers are after first-round picks, the LA Clippers may not make for an ideal trade partner.
They’ve shipped the majority of their first-round selections out in exchange for win-now talent. This is the earliest pick they can trade under the Stepien rule. It still may be enough to peak the Pacers’ interest.
After all, the Clippers are hard to project through to 2028. With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both having unfortunate injury histories, they may be in the lottery by then.
Fans don’t always love when such a distant draft pick is a key component of their trade return. On a related note, fans are not always right. The Pacers could select a franchise player with that pick. Alternatively, they could ship it in 2025 if they’re looking ready to contend by then.

Still, the Pacers may want something a little more concrete in return for Malcolm Brogdon. If so, these two sides may need to enlist a third team to get a deal done.
