Making the Case: Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings are in the midst of the longest drought in the NBA without a trip to the postseason. It has now been 16 years since Sacramento participated in the postseason and that drought could end if they make the right moves in the offseason.
The front office continued to show an aggressive nature at the trade deadline. The Kings brought in Domantas Sabonis in a deal to pair with De’Aaron Fox. Many did not like this deal because Tyrese Haliburton was sent to the Indiana Pacers. Regardless, the Kings now have a duo to build around for years to come.
Wiggins could be an interesting piece to put in the backcourt with Fox. He performed well and earned his only All-Star nod with Curry running the show at point guard.
Wiggins has shown that he is capable of putting up numbers but might need some other production around him to draw defensive attention. That is exactly what he would get in Sacramento.

The Sacramento Kings are not viewed as contenders just yet but they have a core to build around. Barnes might not be part of the long-term plan and if this is the case, Wiggins is a strong replacement. This is the player that the Kings could sign to an extension in order to keep their three stars together for years to come.
