Miami Heat Receive: F Jerami Grant
Detroit Pistons Receive: G/F Duncan Robinson, F/C Omer Yurtseven, 2022 First-Round Pick
Jerami Grant seems like the perfect player to join a win-now team. He left one in the Denver Nuggets to become a more prominent member of a team by signing with the Detroit Pistons in free agency, but regardless, a team shouldn’t be building around a player of caliber in such a role.
On a team like the Miami Heat, he’d be a high-quality complementary option that still would have opportunities to score, but would be doing it within the flow of the half-court offense.
The Heat are already a versatile squad with Butler and Adebayo able to play many positions on both ends of the floor. Grant would just add to this notion and would not cost much for Miami to acquire.
Duncan Robinson signed a lucrative contract last offseason. The Heat would be able to turn his contract into a better-fitting player given he’s not in their rotation right now.
