Making the Case: Phoenix Suns
If the Phoenix Suns are not able to extend Deandre Ayton, it would be beneficial to move him in the offseason. This allows them to get something back and if that is another elite player, then that is a win.
The Phoenix Suns would have to hope that Anthony Davis can remain on the floor. During his tenure in Los Angeles, Davis has struggled with injuries and this has hindered the progress of the team drastically.
As good as Ayton was with Chris Paul running the show, Davis would be that and more if healthy. The Suns would have a new big three to rely on with Davis joining Paul and Devin Booker.
They are already the top team in the Western Conference and could improve with a deal like this.
