Los Angeles Lakers Receive: C Deandre Ayton (Sign & Trade), F Jae Crowder, 2024 First-Round Pick, 2026 First-Round Pick
Phoenix Suns Receive: C/F Anthony Davis
In many blockbuster deals, there is usually one big team player being moved for multiple assets. In this deal, there are many big names involved.
Anthony Davis would be headed to the Phoenix Suns to give them a new option at the center position.
Right now, Deandre Ayton is manning the position for the Suns, but the two sides were unable to get a contract extension done in the offseason. It’s difficult to envision the Suns not viewing him as being worthwhile for a max extension, but then again, it was bizarre they didn’t get it done the first time, too.
Both sides will be able to get a new big man in this trade. The Lakers will also get Jae Crowder, who can provide a helpful 3-and-D impact.
