Phoenix Suns
TyTy Washington Jr. is unlikely to fall all the way to the Suns in the draft, but landing in Phoenix could be ideal.
Primarily, Washington could learn from Chris Paul, one of the greatest playmakers in basketball’s history. He is slightly taller than Chris Paul at 6’3″, but he still is at a size and explosiveness disadvantage that Paul has managed to thrive despite for 17 seasons.
In the near term, Washington could potentially see minutes for the Suns, who are yearly Finals contenders. He would thrive in a role similar to the one currently occupied by Cameron Payne, whose contract is non-guaranteed next season.
Coming off the bench, making smart passes surrounded by elite role players, and pushing the envelope with floaters and mid-range attacks could be a productive start for Washington’s career as he works to flesh out his game.
