Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards are entering a make-or-break offseason. The future of their franchise hangs in the balance as Bradley Beal could enter unrestricted free agency. He has a player option for the 2022-23 season and it is widely believed he will decline that option in search of a long-term deal.
The Wizards are going to try their best to retain him, but anything could happen once free agency rolls around. Another team could convince him that they are the franchise for him. Convincing him that Washington is where he should be won’t be easy, but filling their point guard position would certainly help.
Jalen Brunson would be an intriguing addition for them to make. The Washington Wizards and Dallas Mavericks have a relationship already, as they made a deal ahead of the deadline that sent Kristaps Porzingis east, with Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans heading west.
Dallas is reportedly not interested in a sign-and-trade, but Washington has some pieces that could help them fill out their roster.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s contract could be key to completing a deal. Dallas could also ask for Kyle Kuzma in a deal. Young players Rui Hachimura or Deni Avdija could also be pushed for. Washington also has some draft capital they could include.
For Washington, they would have a strong trio with Brunson joining Beal and Porzingis. With some defensive-minded players surrounding them, the Washington Wizards would have a strong two-way lineup to rely on.
