Indiana Pacers Receive: G Josh Green, G Trey Burke, C Dwight Powell, 2022 First-Round Pick, 2025 First-Round Pick (Top-10 Protected)
Dallas Mavericks Receive: C Myles Turner
In this deal between the Indiana Pacers and Dallas Mavericks, both teams are getting what they have been looking for. The Pacers continue reshaping and rebuilding their roster, adding another young player and more draft capital.
The Mavericks, who are looking to contend with Luka Doncic’s extension kicking in next season, add another piece to help them get there.
Myles Turner will slide right into the starting five for the Mavericks. They have been excellent on the defensive end of the court this season despite not having much depth in the middle. This won’t change their need for depth, but Turner is an elite rim protector, something they do not have.
Turner is also a great fit offensively given his ability to shoot 3-pointers. There is more to unlock there as well as Turner is a solid ball-handler.

The Pacers were looking for two first-round picks or a first-round pick and a young player when they were shopping Turner during the season. In this deal, they are getting both. Josh Green was a first-round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and has shown some flashes when given an opportunity with Dallas. Trey Burke and Dwight Powell are used to help match salary, but Indiana is getting plenty of other value back.
The 2022 first-round pick gives them more ammunition to bring in another established player this offseason. The future first-round pick is top-10 protected but still provides value for the Pacers to make the most of.
