When moving on from a talent like Rudy Gobert, it can be a challenge to find a trade suitor that can offer a “quick fix” solution when it comes to the potential return.
Often, a massive contract will end up having to get moved for smaller parts as opposed to a team being interested in trading a highly paid star of their own to acquire another one.
The Dallas Mavericks lack premier trade assets, but they do have some solid role players to offer. The Utah Jazz could benefit from adding a bigger guard like Spencer Dinwiddie as well as another perimeter shooting threat like Tim Hardaway Jr.
There would be a need for the Jazz to add a center in the offseason, but that’s the most attainable position in the NBA. A separate deal could feature moving the newly acquired draft capital with a contract to add a solid Gobert replacement.
