Detroit Pistons Receive: F Michael Porter Jr.
Denver Nuggets Receive: F Jerami Grant, C Kelly Olynyk
The Denver Nuggets should be very interested in reuniting with Jerami Grant. The question is whether Grant would be interested in returning to Mile High City.
After all, he already deliberately left this club. Furthermore, rumors suggest that Grant prefers being the first option over being a role player on a contender. Sadly, this player and team may not be a match made in basketball heaven.
The Nuggets would have to do their due diligence and look into the validity of those rumors. With that said, this is a perfect deal for them on paper.
Grant is a considerably better defender than the talented young Porter Jr. With so much offensive firepower on the Nuggets as is, that’s a priority. Furthermore, unlike MPJ, Grant’s availability is not a concern.

As for the Pistons, they’re taking a home run swing here. Again, Porter Jr.’s back issues are a major cause for concern. Still, he could be worth the risk.
Particularly at the cost of two veterans who don’t seem to have a future with the club. Porter Jr.’s floor spacing would be a tremendous benefit to emerging superstar Cade Cunningham.
If Grant showed any willingness to return to Denver, they should welcome him back with open arms.
