LA Clippers
Many observers would agree that the LA Clippers need a point guard. Collin Sexton, with his career averages of 3.3 assists and 2.3 turnovers per game, hardly qualifies. Why would the Clippers be interested in him?
Well, many would counter that the traditional point guard is a relic of the past. Many modern teams start a score-first player at that position. With Sexton joining Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Norman Powell, the Clippers would arguably have the most firepower in the NBA.
Defenses would be left to pick between a number of lethal poisons. Sexton would surely need to adjust to life as a third (or fourth) option. It’s possible that he’ll pick up some traditional point guard skills along the way.
If he can’t, the LA Clippers could consider sticking with known entity Reggie Jackson at point guard. He’s no traditional floor general either, but he is familiar with their system. Using Sexton as a sixth man could allow this group to have at least one dynamic offensive player on the floor for 48 minutes a night.
