That light’s name is Cade Cunningham. The jumbo-sized playmaker was selected #1 overall in the 2021 NBA Draft. He may have struggled with efficiency in his rookie campaign, but he flashed enough potential to conclude that he’s likely to be a superstar in the near future.

In all likelihood, the Pistons will continue to build around Cunningham through the draft. They’re unlikely to make a big splash this offseason. Their biggest acquisition is likely to be a player that hasn’t played a minute of NBA basketball yet.
