Making the Case: Utah Jazz
Mike Conley was originally traded to the Utah Jazz in 2019 as he played out the final years of his initial contract with the Memphis Grizzlies dubbed him the highest-paid player of all-time.
It would be interesting to see the Jazz go after Russell Westbrook with Donovan Mitchell at the top of the offense. If this blockbuster were ever made, it would bring some doubts about Mitchell’s future with the Jazz.
Mitchell has been thrown in some trade rumors and linked to teams like the Miami Heat and New York Knicks. It would surprise many if the Jazz gave up on their point guard in favor of a center, especially in today’s NBA.
That would have to be the case if Westbrook was acquired. The fit would be strange with two scoring point guards on the floor together.

Horton-Tucker is an intriguing young player that could improve with some more time on the floor. As for Westbrook, he would look to resurrect his career in a smaller market with a solid team in place already.
Could Utah have a plan to switch things up in the backcourt? That seems like the only explanation. Mitchell would relay a massive return to add to the mix with Russell Westbrook taking the top spot.
