Dallas Mavericks
Anyone watching the Dallas Mavericks in this year’s playoffs is likely to have had the same thought:
This team needs more offense.
The Mavericks have done a great job of surrounding Luka Doncic with role players, but outside of Jalen Brunson, there are very few players on this team who thrive with the ball in their hands. It so happens that that’s exactly where Caris LeVert is best.
He may be best suited for sixth man duties in Dallas. Mavericks coach Jason Kidd could stagger him and LeVert as frequently as possible. Still, they could share the floor, with Luka earning a brief respite from ball-handling to function as a floor-spacer.

It may not be a perfect marriage. The Mavericks may prefer other targets. If they miss out on them, LeVert provides competent scoring and secondary playmaking. They should inquire with the Cavaliers about his cost.
