Donovan Mitchell
If you’ve watched the Utah Jazz lately, you’ve probably noticed it: something seems off.
It might be the chemistry between Donovan Mitchell and co-star Rudy Gobert. Recently, a stat made its rounds on the internet: Mitchell passes to Gobert 2.3 times per game. That’s roughly the same number of times that Trae Young assists Clint Capella on an average night.
Donovan Mitchell does not seem happy with his co-star. He may not be happy in Salt Lake City either. Rumors suggest that the New York native is itching to play in a bigger market. Something may have to give here.
Of course, Donovan Mitchell’s Jazz are still in the playoffs. They’re currently tied 1-1 with a Mavericks team that hasn’t had Luka Doncic available yet. That’s not exactly inspiring, but if the Jazz can escape the Mavs and make a deep postseason run, this prediction may look silly in hindsight.
