Utah Jazz Receive: F Patrick Williams, F Joe Harris, 2027 First-Round Pick (PHI)
Brooklyn Nets Receive: C Nikola Vucevic, F Javonte Green
Chicago Bulls Receive: C Rudy Gobert
If the Utah Jazz were to enter a rebuild at some point, they’ve got little use for Nikola Vucevic. Yet, his contract is virtually required to bring Gobert on board. Here, the Bulls and Jazz bring the Nets into the fold to make this deal work.
Flipping Harris and a first-round pick for Vooch may have some appeal for the Nets. Harris is one of the league’s foremost sharpshooters when healthy, but he’s been sidelined for most of this season.
Vucevic is exactly the kind of floor-spacing big man that should maximize Ben Simmons’ abilities. The Nets could field an unstoppable attack in the wake of this deal.
Meanwhile, the Jazz acquire a foundational piece for their rebuild in Williams. He’s also been hurt for most of 2021-22.
LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: 3 Intriguing Blockbuster Trades We’d Like To See This Offseason
When healthy, he looks like a future All-Defense candidate who, if nothing else, spaces the floor on defense as well. If this team is forced to start over, having a player like Williams in tow is immeasurably valuable.
The Utah Jazz still have every opportunity to put these trade rumors to rest. A trip to even the conference finals could be enough to keep this band together. If they can’t get that far, it may be a grueling offseason for their fans.
