New Orleans Pelicans
Provided that Zion Williamson is ready and willing to suit up in the Big Easy, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone if the Pelicans make a big splash this offseason.
After all, this Pelicans team is starved for postseason success. They roster two young stars in Williamson and Brandon Ingram, along with a strong supporting cast in CJ McCollum, Jonas Valanciunas, and Herb Jones. They’re just a little bit light at the point guard spot.
As it stands, McCollum is serving as the de facto floor general for the Pelicans. That arrangement may be tenable, but the Pelicans will probably look to move him back into his more natural off-guard spot.
Meanwhile, Devonte’ Graham is a solid player, but his 34.1% shooting from long range hardly compensates for his poor defense.

Granted, long-range shooting and defense are sore spots for Westbrook as well. As with the Mavericks, Westbrook would be accepting a lesser role in New Orleans. In all likelihood, he’d be splitting his duties with Graham about evenly.

If he were willing to accept that, he could be a nice fit with the New Orleans Pelicans. They could look to stagger him with Zion Williamson, allowing them to have at least one athletically dominant player on the floor at all times.
