Indiana Pacers Receive: F Talen Horton-Tucker
Sacramento Kings Receive: G T.J. McConnell, C Goga Bitadze
Los Angeles Lakers Receive: G Justin Holiday, F Maurice Harkless
This package may look a little underwhelming to Los Angeles Lakers fans. We refer you back to Talen Horton-Tucker’s shooting splits from this season. If the Lakers are able to move him this offseason, they may be lucky to be underwhelmed.
They could do worse than this package. Justin Holiday is a reliable, veteran 3-and-D wing. If the Lakers are stuck with Westbrook, he’s exactly the type of complementary piece they need alongside him.
Even if they’re not, surrounding LeBron James with floor spacers is a time-tested formula for success. As the owner of a 32.0% accuracy mark from three-point range, Maurice Harkless may not qualify. He’s still a solid defensive wing who’s good to soak up some situational minutes.
The Kings arguably make a lateral move here. Acquiring Goga Bitadze as a possible replacement for Richaun Holmes, who is currently embroiled in some legal trouble, makes good sense.

Meanwhile, T.J. McConnell makes up some of the production left by the departed Tyrese Haliburton. He’s a strong rotation guard that the Kings would enjoy in their bid for a postseason appearance next season.
As for the Pacers, they’re rebuilding. They’re in a perfect position to gamble on Talen Horton-Tucker. He probably has a higher upside than Bitadze, and with a glut of promising young big men, the Pacers could look to add a wing to their long-term core.
If they think Horton-Tucker is the right one, the Lakers should give them a call this offseason.
