Making the Case: New Orleans Pelicans
The New Orleans Pelicans acquired CJ McCollum at the NBA trade deadline and this was a good move considering the question marks surrounding Williamson. Now, they can continue to add some depth and that is what the New York Knicks can provide.
This is not about Fournier or Walker. It is likely that the point guard could be released or thrown into another deal.
As for Fournier, New Orleans could keep him on the perimeter as a shooter or find a way to shed his contract. The intrigue here is Reddish and Quickley.
The New York Knicks have been linked to Williamson because it would recreate the big three of Duke from 2019. Instead, Reddish would join his former Blue Devil while Barrett would remain in New York.

Quickley would be the perfect point guard to come off the bench for the Pelicans as they continue to build something in New Orleans. He has been inconsistent at times but has shown quickness and an ability to shoot the ball.
New Orleans has a foundation to build around and this deal would add the depth that is necessary to last over the course of 82 games.
