Making the Case: New York Knicks
This is not the first time these two have been linked. New York kicked the tires on a deal for Ingram last season when they had something to play for. After taking three steps back, they could revisit the idea.
Since going to New Orleans, Ingram has taken his offensive game to the next level. He is scoring 23.5 points per game in three years with the New Orleans Pelicans. At 6-foot-8, Ingram is versatile and can score from all three levels. Ingram would have a chance to complement Randle on the offensive end of the floor.
If this trade were to happen, many would assume that the New York Knicks would try to unload Randle, and maybe opt for Williamson over Ingram. This would be a move that is beneficial in multiple ways on and off the floor.
Ingram is as talented as it gets on the offensive end of the floor. We have seen what he can do on the court. This would also help the reputation of the Knicks a bit off the floor.

There is no attraction to New York anymore. The days of players wanting to play in Madison Square Garden are over. In today’s NBA, young players can make a name for themselves in any city.
Adding a star like Ingram might begin to build something and this would persuade other players to want to join. This is something the Knicks have been unable to do for quite some time.
