The Team That Drafts/Signs Bronny James
LeBron James has publicly said that he wants to play with his son, Bronny James, before he retires. Will this end up playing a role in Bronny’s future and what team he ends up playing for?
There are questions on whether or not James, who is a junior at Sierra Canyon High School, is going to be ready for the next level. He is currently ranked 43rd in the nation according to ESPN’s Top 60 for the Class of 2023.
If James wants to lineup with his son, he could change teams a couple times. If he is a one-and-done, Bronny would be eligible for the 2024 NBA Draft. Commissioner Adam Silver could also eliminate the one-and-done rule, which would potentially allow James to enter the league a year earlier.
This also brings up the possibility of teams reaching for Bronny in hopes that his father comes to the team as well. Whether he is drafted or signed, teams could have the idea of acquiring both members of the James family.
