Making the Case: Utah Jazz

There isn’t necessarily a great way to move on from a star player and if the Utah Jazz would be trading Donovan Mitchell, it would be far from an exception.

Julius Randle has failed to build on his All-NBA Second-Team campaign from a season ago, but regardless, he could bring a helpful scoring impact to a team.

Cam Reddish is an intriguing young player with upside but hasn’t necessarily been afforded the opportunity to showcase whether he can realize those capabilities. With the Jazz, he’d be able to do precisely that.

There’s a need for the Jazz to acquire more players that can get into the lane, which would become more pressing if Donovan Mitchell was dealt. Derrick Rose, when he’s healthy to play, brings a boost in that regard. With Jordan Clarkson also on the bench, Utah would have a supercharged bench backcourt.
