New York Knicks Receive: G Donovan Mitchell, F Royce O’Neale, F Juancho Hernangomez
Utah Jazz Receive: F Julius Randle, F Cam Reddish, G/F Derrick Rose, G Quentin Grimes, Draft Capital
In this NBA trade scenario, the New York Knicks would acquire Donovan Mitchell as the headliner in exchange for a return heading to the Utah Jazz headlined by Julius Randle.
Along with Randle, the Jazz would receive Cam Reddish, Derrick Rose, Quentin Grimes, and however much draft capital that’s needed to be comfortable with making a trade involving Mitchell.
The amount of draft compensation is left ambiguous in this situation given it would change depending on if Mitchell were to pursue a trade request after the season. New York has all of their future picks along with a lottery protected 2023 first-round pick from the Dallas Mavericks at their disposal.
After signing a five-year, $163 million contract, Mitchell is signed through 2026. He would form an intriguing one-two punch alongside RJ Barrett on the perimeter.
