Indiana Pacers Have Trade Chips To Watch

Now, Tyrese Haliburton and Chris Duarte, along with whoever they select in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft, appear to be the central fulcrums of their roster construction efforts.
According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, there is a perception from NBA executives that Turner could still net a protected first-round pick outside of the lottery in a trade.
“I spoke with four NBA executives who told me they believe Myles Turner can still get a protected first-round pick outside the lottery if he’s traded this offseason.”

With rim protection and defensive versatility being so important, there should be no shortage of potential interested trade suitors for Turner. Teams like the Dallas Mavericks, Toronto Raptors, and Charlotte Hornets continue to be linked.
Malcolm Brogdon, who was ineligible to be traded this season after signing his contract extension, remains could find himself in a trade this summer, too. Haliburton is the point guard of the future, and while Brogdon could be a helpful backcourt partner, he is already 29-years-old.
