Lakers Could Consider Making Anthony Davis Trade?
Taking it back to the Los Angeles Lakers, there are real limitations to the outlook for potential changes that can be made to the roster around LeBron James.
Some have floated the idea of the Lakers moving Anthony Davis to net some intriguing assets to shake up the roster around James. Russell Westbrook is viewed as a negative asset, and the rest of the roster lacks much for trade value.
According to Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer, he sees the opposite happening, given what they gave up to the New Orleans Pelicans in trade talks.
“I don’t think they will (trade him) at all, from what I’ve been told and the fact that what they gave up to New Orleans to get him… I mean, the Lakers went all-in on pairing Anthony Davis with the Bron for as long as that pairing could stand, and I’d be shocked if it came to a close this offseason.”

With how the Los Angeles Lakers have tried to balance the present and the future, it seems as though Anthony Davis is viewed as a future franchise player that could be a key recruiter for a star player to join him in the post-LeBron James era.
