Does this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?

Myles Turner has suddenly become very expendable to the Indiana Pacers not only because he is entering the final year of his contract in the offseason, but because they have some depth in their frontcourt with Goga Bitadze, Isaiah Jackson and Jalen Smith, should they bring him back in free agency.

Giving up two second-rounders in a trade involving Myles Turner to get OG Anunoby and a future first-round pick in return is a fantastic deal for the Pacers, although it is hard to imagine that they will be able to get this kind of value from the Raptors and Masai Ujiri.

OG Anunoby is a core piece of Toronto’s success and while they could decide to give him up, they will most definitely not be willing to attach a first-round pick in this deal unless they are getting one in return from the Pacers.

Indiana is going to be moving forward with Tyrese Haliburton as their center of attention and with Malcolm Brogdon possibly being on the move this offseason as well, there is no better time for the Pacers to try and move Myles Turner.
