What’s Next For Lance Stephenson?

Lance Stephenson’s situation is very different from Smith’s, as according to Scotto, Stephenson has expressed interest in returning to the Pacers after this season.

Being 31-years-old, Stephenson is not necessarily a long-term building block for this franchise, but he is an experienced veteran that plays hard and has a special bond with the Pacers’ fanbase. 

It is not hard to believe that the organization and Lance Stephenson will agree to terms on a minimum contract at the very least in the offseason, especially since he has actually been productive for them off-the-bench. 

With two projected Top-20 picks in the 2022 NBA Draft and the ability to free up a handful of cap space in the offseason, the Pacers will be busy as they look to “re-tool” their roster and not fully “rebuild.”
