New York was said to be the organization Zion Williamson wanted to play for ahead of the Pelicans ending up with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and with all of the drama that occurred in New Orleans from Zion’s foot injury this season, the young All-Star will continue to be a key headline entering the offseason.

How the Pelicans fare the rest of the regular season and in the play-in tournament could very much impact Zion Williamson’s future with New Orleans, as will his upcoming contract extension negotiations. 

Lakers’ All-Star Russell Westbrook has also been mentioned a handful of times recently in connection with the Knicks. Things in Los Angeles have not worked out whatsoever with Westbrook and now, entering the final year of his deal and owed nearly $47 million, the Lakers will be looking for any possible way to move Russell Westbrook.
