Should The LA Clippers Trade Paul George?
Since acquiring Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, expectations for the LA Clippers have been sky-high. They were contenders the last two seasons with them healthy and will look to be again next season.
Ahead of the trade deadline, the Clippers acquired Norman Powell and Robert Covington from the Portland Trail Blazers. While Covington is a free agent, Powell is in the first season of a five-year year.
That trade should be all the evidence needed to say that the LA Clippers should not consider trading George. Powell was brought on to be the No. 3 option behind Kawhi Leonard and Paul George and it would be foolish to not at least see things through for at least one season.
With a healthy Leonard and George in the lineup, LA is a legitimate contender in the Western Conference. How well they performed in last year’s playoffs after Leonard was injured, as they defeated the Utah Jazz before losing in six games to the Phoenix Suns, shows just how deep this roster really is.

It should be a no-brainer to keep George and build around their All-Star duo instead of breaking them up this offseason.
