The Magic were engaged in trade talks around the trade deadline this season in deals involving Terrance Ross and they will likely look to move the veteran again in the offseason. 

At 31-years-old, Ross is still a primary offensive contributor off-the-bench, but his upside on a young Magic team is minimal, which is why the team will look to move him as he enters the final year of his contract. 

Another name to keep an eye on in trade talk pertaining to the Orlando Magic is Jonathan Isaac, who was recently shut down for the remainder of the season. 

Isaac has not played in a game since the 2020 NBA Bubble where he suffered a torn ACL in his left knee and now after undergoing a procedure on his right hamstring recently, the Magic could look to move the 24-year-old forward for any type of value.

It is a shame that Jonathan Isaac has been injured so much, as he showed a lot of potential to be a two-way force at the power-forward position for this franchise for a long-time to come. 

Now though, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding Jonathan Isaac’s career, which is why the Magic may be happy to dump the remaining $52.2 million on his contract for a future draft pick. 

Having Wendell Carter Jr., Chuma Okeke, Franz Wagner and possibly Mo Bamba long-term, Jonathan Isaac’s fit with this young core is now suddenly in question after he has sat out the entire 2021-22 season, leading to the possibility of an offseason trade involving him for the Magic.
