The Detroit Pistons (19-51) took on the Orlando Magic (18-53) as the only game in the NBA during the Thursday slate. It was the Pistons who came out on top with 134-120 being the final score.
Early on, the Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons both put up huge scoring numbers with Orlando holding a 39-37 lead at the end of the first quarter. Detroit outscored the Magic by a 13-point margin in the second period to create separation and never looked back.
Saddiq Bey led the way with a staggering 51 points while shooting 17-27 FG (63.0%), 10-14 3P (71.4%), and 7-10 FT (70.0%) with nine rebounds, and four assists. Marvin Bagley III also chipped in 20 points and 11 rebounds in this one.
Both of these teams are in the midst of a rebuild and have intriguing young players to be excited about. However, they were without some of their main young players in this one.
