Does this trade make sense for the Oklahoma City Thunder?
Going out and trading for Zion Williamson would be a fantastic move for Sam Presti and the Thunder to make and it would be yet another trick up the sleeve of Presti!
This guy continues to build something special year by year in Oklahoma City and while they may be one of the worst teams in the league record-wise, the Thunder are still one of the league’s most exciting teams because of all the potential they have in their roster.
Adding Zion Williamson to a core group containing Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Tre Mann, Luguentz Dort, Josh Giddey and others instantly spells playoffs for a long-time in Oklahoma City.
Giving up Bazley and three first-round picks is a ton of value to sacrifice, but this would be just a small dent in the Thunder’s future assets.

Still having 32 other draft picks through 2028, the Thunder would have plenty of opportunities to add more youth to their roster and they will not find a better pure talent than Zion Williamson in the draft over the next few years with any of these picks they trade away.
This trade makes complete sense for the Thunder to make and Oklahoma City seems destined to land a big-name, young star within the next few years. Could Zion Williamson wind up being their guy?
