Does this trade make sense for the Los Angeles Lakers?

At this point, the Lakers cannot do anything to make their situation with Russell Westbrook work. He obviously does not want to be there anymore and like the situation with Ben Simmons in Philadelphia, Lakers’ fans have been nothing but unappreciative and disrespectful to Russell Westbrook since his first game with them.

I really cannot blame Russell Westbrook for wanting out of Los Angeles at this point, especially since it is now affecting his livelihood and family.

Trading Russell Westbrook is the best thing the Lakers could not only do for themselves, but for their All-Star talent as well, as this situation just has not worked out for either side.

Getting John Wall and Eric Gordon in return instantly sets the Lakers up for more success than they have found this season simply because Wall and Gordon fit into their system much better than Westbrook and Horton-Tucker do.

LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: What Is Lakers’ Outlook To Move Westbrook In Offseason?

Both Wall and Gordon can play off-the-ball and more importantly, John Wall is eager to play in the NBA again. This new, positive energy in Los Angeles could be exactly what they need to be a championship contender again and Eric Gordon is a pretty good experienced veteran for them to add on the wing.

This is a dream scenario for the Lakers in the offseason and they should be more than content attaching Talen Horton-Tucker and a first-round pick to this deal for John Wall should it mean landing Eric Gordon as well.
