3. Dallas Mavericks
While the Dallas Mavericks may not be located in one of the glamour markets like New York City, Los Angeles, or Miami, they do have a lot to offer Kyrie Irving if he were interested in entertaining them.
For starters, being able to play alongside an elite player like Luka Doncic would make for a daunting one-two punch for opposing teams to have to account for. When Doncic has capable threats that can attack off the bounce around him, it’s nearly impossible for a defense to guard him.
We’ve already seen with Spencer Dinwiddie or Jalen Brunson on the floor how impactful it is to have a secondary ball handler next to Doncic. Imagine if a talent of Irving’s caliber was filling that role?
It certainly doesn’t hurt the Mavericks’ case that being located in the state of Texas brings no income tax. While that can be said about the Florida teams, there doesn’t appear to be a logical outlook for either being an option.

Oh, yeah, let’s not forget, there are no vaccination mandates in Dallas that would impact Irving’s ability to suit up for the Mavericks. Of course, that should change by the start of next season, but there’d be no concern of that becoming an issue in general.
