Without Him, The Mavericks Would Not Be A Playoff Team

You could make this argument about a lot of players in this league, but without Luka Doncic, the Mavericks would not be in the playoff picture. He carries them offensively and dictates the pace of play on offense, which is why Dallas would be lost without Doncic.

Going 7-3 in the month of February was not a fluke and the Mavericks did not just get lucky in the games they played. Their defense was a large reason for their recent success, but Doncic’s play on the offensive end of the floor in February was historic.

Averaging 34.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 8.8 assists, and shooting 41.2% from three-point range in the month of February, Luka Doncic became the first player since 1980 to put up such numbers in a single month, according to StatMuse

Point guard, shooting guard, small-forward… It does not matter where Doncic plays because he makes things happen on the floor for the Mavericks and always has the ball in his hands on offense.

LATEST NBA NEWS & RUMORS: ‘Humbled’: Inside Luka Doncic’s’ Unstoppable’ Play For Mavericks

Luka Doncic is single-handedly willing the Mavericks to win-after-win right now and over some pretty good opponents as well. They recently just beat the Golden State Warriors twice in three games, as well as picking up wins in Miami over the Heat and in Dallas against the 76ers.

The Mavericks could very well make some noise in the postseason this year and while he may only be 23-years-old, Doncic is quickly becoming one of the faces of the NBA. As he continues to play, Doncic is only going to get better and at some point in his career, he will be awarded with the league-MVP honors.
