Bogdan Bogdanovic – Atlanta Hawks

One very intriguing situation to keep an eye on in the offseason is that of the Atlanta Hawks.

Just several months after making the Eastern Conference Finals, the Hawks find themselves on the verge of missing the playoffs entirely this season and they have had a lot of trouble finding consistent play out of anyone not named Trae Young.

The Hawks could very much blow everything up in the offseason, especially with them being tight on cap space and having to deal with giving De’Andre Hunter a contract extension should they want to keep him long-term.

John Collins, Danilo Gallinari, and Bogdan Bogdanovic are all possible trade assets the Hawks have this upcoming offseason and at least one of these players is expected to be dealt.

The Cavaliers could definitely use more shooting out on the perimeter, as they rank 14th in the league in three-point shooting percentage as a team, which is why Bogdan Bogdanovic could be of use to them.

Seeing as the Hawks would look to trade one of these three players to free up cap space, it is hard to imagine that they would take back Kevin Love’s one-year contract, but if they are blowing everything up anyways, they could be willing to accept his contract in order to get out of longer, high-paying deals they currently have on their roster.

Atlanta is going to be open for business in the offseason, entertaining any offers that come their way including everyone except Trae Young. They could very much be willing to get out of the contracts of Bogdan Bogdanovic and Danilo Gallinari, leading to them taking on Kevin Love’s contract in a trade and possibly moving him to a third team in the process.

With Collin Sexton’s long-term status in doubt and Caris LeVert not being much of a three-point weapon, the Cavaliers could utilize Bogdan Bogdanovic as one of the better catch-and-shoot wings in the league.

Getting the money to equal out in this deal would be tough, but the Cavaliers and Hawks could possibly make this transaction work.
