Pinpoint Frontcourt Talents To Build With Moving Forward
The frontcourt is another key talking point for the Hornets in the offseason, as it has been for quite some time now.
Finding stability, particularly at the center position, has been a point of emphasis in Charlotte for years, but they have not been able to find consistent play in their frontcourt.
Mason Plumlee has not been bad this year by any means and has been a step up from Cody Zeller compared to last year, but is Plumlee really someone that they can rely on and build with long-term?
Montrezl Harrell has given this team a boost of energy since the trade deadline, yet he is going to be a free agent in the offseason and could carry too high of a price tag for Charlotte to keep, especially if they are to keep Miles Bridges long-term.

Assuming they are going to be looking at upgrading talent at the center position, we should expect the Hornets to consider making a big move in trade talks this offseason.
P.J. Washington is a young power-forward that the team could use at a selling point in trade talks for either Pacers’ Myles Turner or Rockets’ Christian Wood, two big men that the Hornets have had their eyes on for the last year or so.
Both Turner and Wood are on affordable contracts and by moving Washington, Plumlee and a young talent, the Hornets would be able to acquire either big man and still remain below the luxury tax, pending Miles Bridges contract extension.
