Sign Miles Bridges Long-Term
One of the key moves the Hornets must make in the offseason is signing Miles Bridges to a long-term deal. Whether or not he is deserving of a max deal is not the question at hand here, but it is more so how the Hornets will free up the necessary cap space to sign Bridges long-term while also staying under the luxury tax line.
Mason Plumlee’s partially-guaranteed contract is definitely a topic of discussion, as is the possibility of fielding trade offers for veteran Gordon Hayward, which we will touch on shortly.
The offseason for the Hornets may start with the NBA Draft, but keeping Miles Bridges has to be their main priority because of what he has meant not only to this roster and locker room, but to the Hornets’ fan base as well.
On the year, Bridges is averaging career-highs in points (19.9), rebounds (7.2), assists (3.6), steals (1.0), blocks (0.9) and is shooting 48.1% from the floor, making him one of the more effective offensive players in Charlotte this season.

Not to mention, Miles Bridges has also recorded a career-best 13 double-doubles this season, which is ahead of Jimmy Butler, Stephen Curry, Fred VanVleet and Ja Morant in double-doubles this year.
Still very young and possessing the athleticism that he does, Charlotte would be foolish to let Miles Bridges go. All indications point to them keeping him on a long-term deal, so we should not expect anything less from the Hornets in regards to their young star forward.
