With just over five weeks left in the 2021-22 NBA season, things are starting to heat up across the league. Between teams fighting for playoff position and players battling one another for the end-of-season awards, there are plenty of storylines and headlines to talk about. 

While many teams are starting to go on end-of-season runs to tighten up their playoff position, some teams are beginning to decline at the wrong times. 

Every team hits rough patches in their schedule, but no team ever wants to face a losing streak near the end of the season, especially when there is a potential playoff berth on the line. 

In the Eastern Conference, there is little separation between the teams currently out of the play-in tournament field and those who are projected to be in this year’s play-in tournament for the conference.
