The Boston Celtics have arguably been the hottest team in the NBA as of late. A big part of that has been the contributions of Jaylen Brown. However, will be available to play when the team takes on the Memphis Grizzlies in their upcoming matchup?

During the Celtics’ 107-98 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, Brown suffered a right ankle sprain after just three minutes of action. He was unable to return to action after experiencing “swelling and soreness.”

“[He] rolled it,” Celtics coach Ime Udoka said. “Got some swelling and soreness, obviously. He tried to give it a go in the back and wanted to come back out and play, [but] just decided big picture, where we’re at in the season and be smart. So we’ll know more over the next few days.”

According to Celtics reporter Taylor Snow, Brown has already been ruled out for Thursday’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies and is the only member of the team with an injury to report.

On the 2021-22 NBA season, Jaylen Brown has provided the Boston Celtics with averages of 23.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 50 appearances. He will be a name to watch in NBA injury news as he recovers.
